What changes the price

Providers quote their own work — these are the factors that consistently move the number.

  • Stall count: a 1-stall ADA combo lists at $3,499 per event and an 8-stall shower trailer at $6,499 (Stahla). By the day, one Tacoma provider charges $350–$500 for 2 stalls and $1,100–$1,800 for 6–8.
  • Rental length: the 8-stall drops from $6,499 for a weekend to $15,999 for 28 days and $9,399 a month on a 12-month contract (Stahla).
  • What the quote includes: PottyLine's $3,495 weekend includes delivery, setup, 300 gallons of water, cleaning and tax. Stahla's list price excludes setup ($1,499), pack-up ($999) and mileage ($2.99–$3.99 a mile past about 25 miles).
  • Hookups: no 50-amp power means generators ($150–$300 a day, Stahla), and no sewer means a gray-water tank ($149 per 28 days, PottyLine) or pump-outs ($125 a visit, PottyLine).
  • Season: peak season (May–October) adds 15% at PottyLine and 15–30% on Stahla's list.
  • Hot water: propane-fired heaters need refills. San Antonio's bidders priced propane at $200–$900 a month on a long-term contract.

How much does a shower trailer cost by stall count?

Small units: Stahla lists a 1-stall ADA shower-and-restroom combo at $3,499 per event and a 3-stall shower-and-restroom combo at $4,499 (Oct 2026). One Tacoma, WA provider charges $350–$500 a day for a 2-stall shower trailer and $600–$900 for a 4-stall.

Large units: an 8-stall shower trailer costs $3,495 for a weekend from PottyLine in the San Francisco Bay Area and $6,499 per event on Stahla's national list (both Oct 2026). The Tacoma provider charges $1,100–$1,800 a day for 6–8 stalls.

Capacity: PottyLine's 8-stall trailer carries 300 gallons of fresh water, enough for about 30 five-minute showers per fill at roughly 10 gallons each, and refills continuously from a hose.

Shower trailer rental cost per day, week and month

Per day: ESTIMATE about $1,165–$2,166 a day for an 8-stall trailer on a weekend booking, dividing the $3,495 (PottyLine) and $6,499 (Stahla) Friday-to-Monday prices by 3 days. That's the same method Stahla uses for its own restroom trailers. Smaller trailers rent by the day for $350–$900 (Tacoma provider).

Per week: $5,999 for a 1-stall ADA combo, $6,899 for a 3-stall combo and $8,499 for an 8-stall shower trailer (Stahla, Oct 2026).

Per month: $8,900 (PottyLine, with weekly service) to $15,999 (Stahla) for an 8-stall trailer for 28 days. ESTIMATE: that's about $318–$571 a day ($8,900 ÷ 28 and $15,999 ÷ 28). On longer contracts Stahla's 8-stall drops to $11,599 a month for 2–5 months, $9,899 for 6–11 months and $9,399 for 12 months or more.

Public bids: eight vendors bid $5,700–$11,500 a month for a 6-plus-stall shower trailer on a City of San Antonio annual contract (opened Apr 19, 2024). ESTIMATE: the median bid was about $7,246 a month (the average of the two middle bids, $7,100 and $7,392). Service ($400–$2,170 a month) and propane were billed on top.

Water and power hookups: what a shower trailer needs

Power: plan on a dedicated 50-amp, 240-volt receptacle within 50 feet (PottyLine). Stahla says shower trailers run on a 220-volt, 50-amp hookup or, for smaller units, three dedicated 110-volt, 20-amp circuits. Without site power, budget for generators: $150–$300 a day (Stahla) or $1,500 a weekend for two 7 kW units (PottyLine).

Water: a standard garden-hose bib within 100 feet for anything longer than a weekend (PottyLine). The Tacoma provider asks for 20–60 PSI. Without a hookup, expect water fills at $100–$250 each (Stahla).

ESTIMATE: 100 showers at 10–15 gallons each use 1,000–1,500 gallons a day (100 × 10 and 100 × 15). PottyLine estimates about 10 gallons per five-minute shower, and Stahla about 15 gallons over seven minutes. A 300-gallon onboard tank covers about 30 showers, so a busy site needs a hose connection.

Gray water: a sewer cleanout within hose reach is best. Otherwise, rent a 250-gallon holding tank ($149 per 28 days) the pump truck can reach within about 60 feet, plus pump-outs at $125 a visit (PottyLine). Stahla's mobile water and waste box runs $899–$1,399.

Site: PottyLine's 8-stall needs a level 28 × 8.5-foot pad, a straight approach about 50 feet long and 12 feet wide, about 13 feet of overhead clearance and a gate at least 10 feet wide. Check your site with the requirements checker above.

Shower trailers for disaster relief, construction camps and events

Disaster relief: Stahla lists disaster relief among the jobs its long-term rates suit, and A Sani-Can lists FEMA-coordinated relief among shower trailer uses. Relief jobs run for weeks, so price the 28-day and monthly rates ($8,900–$15,999 for 8 stalls), not the event rate.

Construction and work camps: remote crews, temporary work camps and military deployments use shower trailers (A Sani-Can). The City of San Antonio's Department of Human Services contract shows how a long-term deal is priced: a monthly rental ($5,700–$11,500 in bids), monthly service, propane, and one-time delivery, installation and removal ($1,000–$6,000 combined).

Events: multi-day festivals, camping events and overnight weddings book shower trailers alongside restroom trailers. A weekend runs $3,495–$6,499 for 8 stalls, and peak season (May–October) adds 15–30% (PottyLine; Stahla).

Published local rates: PottyLine charges $3,495 for an 8-stall weekend within 25 miles of Hayward, CA (Oct 2026). A Tacoma, WA provider charges $350–$500 a day for 2 stalls. San Antonio's public bids ran $5,700–$11,500 a month for 6+ stalls (Apr 2024). Stahla's national list sets $6,499 per event for 8 stalls.

Shower trailers are scarcer than restroom trailers, so the nearest available unit sets your delivery cost. Ask each provider for an all-in price: delivery, setup, water, gray-water service, generator if needed, and pickup.

How we built these numbers

Every price on this page comes from a published, cited source. When no source publishes a figure we need, we make an estimate, label it ESTIMATE, and show the math. These are planning ranges, not quotes. This page is published by Cornelia Cove LLC.

Event, weekly, 28-day and long-term rates. As published in Stahla's 2026 pricing table (updated Oct 15, 2026) and PottyLine's 8-stall shower trailer page (updated Oct 14, 2026). The headline range ($3,495–$6,499) runs from PottyLine's all-in weekend to Stahla's 8-stall event price.

Public bids. The City of San Antonio's final bid tabulation for a shower trailer rental (opened Apr 19, 2024), eight bidders.

Per-day rates by stall count. A Tacoma, WA provider's guide (undated; accessed Oct 18, 2026). It's the only source that prices 2- and 4-stall shower trailers by the day, so treat those rows as single-source.

Hookups. PottyLine (Oct 2026), Stahla's shower trailer explainer (Dec 12, 2024) and the Tacoma provider. Use cases: Stahla and A Sani-Can.

Estimates on this page: per-day weekend cost (event price ÷ 3 days), per-day 28-day cost (28-day price ÷ 28), the San Antonio median (average of the two middle bids), and daily water use (100 showers × 10–15 gallons).

Limits. These ranges come from a handful of providers and one public contract, not a survey. Shower trailers are a thin rental market, and local prices can fall outside them.

How location changes the number

Delivery distance from the provider's yard drives the local price. PottyLine's rates cover sites within 25 miles of Hayward, CA, with a one-time surcharge beyond that (about $175 to Santa Rosa). Stahla bills $2.99–$3.99 per loaded mile past about 25 miles.

After a hurricane, restroom and shower trailers are in short supply. Relief and recovery crews should call early and expect delivery to depend on road access.
